George Fougère, 35, of Halifax, died Friday night (14 octobre) in a three-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near here.

Fougère, a school photographer, was heading to Halifax from Campbellton when his car was hit broadside by a van. One report suggested the third vehicle was attempting to pass Fougere's car at the time. Fougere was alone but at least four other people were injured.

Born in Dover, he was a son of Zoël and Eveline (Powell). Besides his parents, he is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Donald LeBlanc (Gloria) of Dieppe, Mrs. Raymond Match (Eloise) of Red Bank, Mrs. Blaine Matchett (Rose-Mai) of Moncton and Mrs. Ryan Kenny (Paula) of Moncton; several nieces and nephews.

The body is at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. Funeral mass will be celebrated today at Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d'en-Haut at 7 p.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
